Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: September 21, 2026

This page explains our general cancellation and refund practices. Your actual, binding contract — including the required Notice of Cancellation form — always controls.

1. Free Consultations Are Not Purchases

Requesting a free in-home consultation through our website does not create any payment obligation or contract. No money changes hands, and no work is scheduled, until you sign a written home improvement contract with us in person.

2. Your Right to Cancel a Signed Contract

When you sign a home improvement contract with us during an in-home visit, Maryland and federal law give you the right to cancel that contract, without any penalty or obligation, within three (3) business days of signing. This is sometimes called a "cooling-off" period, and it applies to contracts signed somewhere other than our regular place of business (such as your home).

  • Every contract we ask you to sign will include a printed Notice of Cancellation form and instructions, as required by Maryland law (Md. Code, Commercial Law §14-301 et seq.) and the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 429).
  • To cancel, sign, date, and deliver the Notice of Cancellation (or any other written notice) to us at the address, email, or phone number below before midnight of the third business day after signing.
  • If you cancel within this period, any deposit or payment you made will be refunded in full within the timeframe required by law (generally within 10 business days), and any goods left with you will be handled per the contract and applicable law.

This right applies specifically to contracts signed at your home or a location other than our regular place of business. It does not extend indefinitely, and the exact terms — including any deposit amount, milestone payment schedule, and cancellation mechanics — are governed by the signed contract itself, not by this webpage.

3. Deposits & Payments After the Cancellation Period

Once the 3-business-day cancellation period has passed, cancellation, rescheduling, deposit refunds, and any change-order terms are handled according to the specific terms of your signed contract. We are a Maryland-licensed home improvement contractor (MHIC #169443) and follow MHIC regulations governing deposits, contract terms, and payment schedules. If you have questions about a specific deposit or payment on an active project, contact your project consultant directly or use the information below.

4. No Online Sales

We do not process any purchases, deposits, or payments through this website. All financial transactions occur after an in-home consultation and are documented in a written contract, so standard e-commerce refund mechanics do not apply here. (Optional third-party financing, such as the Synchrony application referenced on our Financing page, is governed by that lender’s own terms.)

5. Questions or to Cancel a Contract
